Our commitment

At Edimax Astor Ceramics, we firmly believe that the Web should be an inclusive and accessible environment for everyone, regardless of physical or cognitive abilities and the technologies used. For this reason, we are committed to making our website (edimaxastor.it) accessible, ensuring an optimal browsing experience for every user, in line with the reference standards WCAG 2.1 at level AA and EN 301 549, as well as with a reference to the New AgID Guidelines on accessibility of digital services.

Interventions and improvements

Our site is constantly monitored. In April 2026, it underwent a thorough accessibility audit, conducted through a mixed analysis approach: automated (using tools such as WAVE Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool and Google Lighthouse) and manual review of code and navigation flows.

We are proud to confirm that testing showed high levels of accessibility for all major site templates (Home Page, Collections overview, Single Collection, Downloads page, and News/Blog). In particular, we recorded:

– Google Page Speed (Accessibility): stable score of 97/100 On all tested sections.

– WAVE: excellent scores between 9.3/10 e 9.8/10.

As a result of this analysis, in order to consolidate and maximize compliance, we implemented a number of corrective and refinement interventions, including.:

Optimization of the content hierarchy to facilitate logical orientation and reading using assistive technologies such as screen readers.
Visual support: introduction and systematic review of alternative texts for images to make them understandable to those using text-to-speech software.
Improved mobile device experience and navigability: Adjusting the size of clickable areas (touch targets) and the color contrast of text to ensure smooth and compliant use on smartphones and touch devices.

Areas for improvement and nonconformities

Although we continually strive to achieve the highest standards of accessibility, we are aware that some specific areas or content of the site may not yet be fully compliant or have limitations, either of a technical nature or resulting from the historical inclusion of material (e.g., old PDF documents or catalogs not formatted for native accessibility). We are working to progressively resolve any remaining critical issues.
